Past, Present and Future—I look to the past with thanks and faith.
To the present with trust and enthusiasm. To the future with optimism and hope.
I can thus dwell in the present moment while visiting the past and future with pleasure.
Origins of the Orb | The Love Glyph

Prov·e·nancePlace of origin; derivation.

To me, the word “provenance” is a great word. Derived from the French word “provenir,” meaning “to
come from,” one of the primary purposes of provenance is to confirm or gather evidence as to the
person responsible for the creation of an object. The basic premise of provenance is that the DNA,
the unique “fingerprints” or the unique “signature” of the creator are imbedded in the creation itself.
For example, an expert can look at aspects such as the brushstrokes of a painting and use this to
confirm that it is (say) a van Gough.

I love this word because it makes me think of the provenance of the universe, of our existence.

Einstein put it this way:

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable
superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are
able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind...

Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science
becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the
universe — a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in
the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble.
In this way the pursuit of science leads to a religious
feeling of a special sort, which is indeed quite different from
the religiosity of less informed men...

The more I study science, the more I believe in God.

— Albert Einstein, Nobel Laureate in Physics

I was pondering the fact that the Creator’s (God’s) fingerprints, brushstrokes, signature were within
everything that existed (the visible is the invisible made visible) and I wrote the following poem as an
expression of that sense of wonder:

They Will Tell You

O, that I had wings like a dove
Then I could fly and be at rest
[David/Psalms]

To soar like a bird
Loose from the bonds of earth
Unrestricted and free

Ask the beasts
And the birds
And the fish of the sea
And they will tell you [Job]

God reveals himself to man
In the things that
He has made

In the miracle
Of 100 million Monarch butterflies
Flying South
Their tissue thin wings
Fueled only by the kiss
Of their Creator
And the warmth
Of His sun

The brief cycle of their lives
Guided by forces
Beyond human understanding

The sun reflects across the water
To reach each man as it may

All of God’s creation
Migrating, seeking sanctuary

The illusion of life
Gliding and soaring
On gossamer wings

Oh yes! God reveals himself to man
And man reveals himself to God
In the things that
He has made

This truth is self evident
To anyone who seeks it
To anyone who sees it
With an open heart

Asks the beasts
And the birds
And the fish of the sea
And they will tell you

MANY QUESTIONS

While there may be many questions, there is always one answer —Love
While there may be many problems, there is always one solution —Love

ONE QUESTION

How do we solve the problem or answer the question?
By asking the one question that will solve all problems —Who will give Love?
When all the chips are down —Who will give Love?

THE HIGHEST PERSPECTIVE

The love orb is here to keep us centered on love and focused on the highest perspective;

When you look at others, when you look at life
With eyes of love, you do not see the problems
You do not see the differences
You see only the One.

When you come to the end of your life
The only thing that will matter
Will be those times
You gave and received Love

ILLUSTRATION OF ALBERT EINSTEIN
—BY GERALD HENRY
BASED ON THE PHOTOGRAPH BY KARSH

Glyph: A symbol that imparts information nonverbally.

One day when I was meditating, this glyph began appearing in my consciousness. It struck me that this symbol represented the “DNA” of the universe. To me it revealed the basic structure. Everything is in orbit around a central nucleus beginning with the atom and extending out to solar systems and galaxies.

It struck me profoundly that this nucleus was God and that everything was in God’s orbit and that God is love and so therefore everything was in love’s orbit. As I meditated on this thought further I noticed that the particles were in fact the smallest thing and what was far greater was the spaces in between. And then it struck me that this invisible space is not inert but rather it is alive and has flow and just as it flows through all things binding the electron to the nucleus it also flows through all beings binding us all together as it has done so since time began.

There is a river of love
Flowing through life
Flowing through each of us
Flowing through our hearts
This river of love
Has been flowing
—Since time began

The word “atom” originates from the Greek “atomos” which means "indivisible.” Even though the atom has since been subdivided by modern science, the space in between the subdivisions remains untouched and is in my view, the substrate for all reality binding all to each other and is in fact, love.

Einstein said this:

We cannot despair of humanity, since we ourselves are human beings.

From this meditating and pondering, I illustrated the glyph, (a symbol that imparts information nonverbally) you see pictured at the top of this page.

Now, for me, just looking at the glyph centers me in love.

PERSPECTIVES

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

A Higher Perspective:

When love is at the center of our being.
When we are remembering, being and
maximizing love.
When with love, we are
minimizing life's issues.
When our true Self and our love are our
center and life's issues are kept orbiting
around that.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Our Typical Perspective:

When life's issues are at the
center of our being.
When we are forgetting, not being and
minimizing love.
When without love, we are
maximizing life's issues.
When our ego and life's issues are our
center and our true Self and our love are
kept orbiting around that.
